Yes! You must have presentation software (mainly Microsoft PowerPoint) installed on your system. That is actually SlideGo's biggest strength. Instead of trying to reinvent presentation rendering, SlideGo acts as a remote control for the native Windows PowerPoint engine running invisibly in the background. You get perfect rendering every time.

Absolutely. SlideGo listens globally for standard Page Up / Page Down / Arrow inputs. This means any standard Logitech, Targus, or generic presentation remote will work flawlessly right out of the box.

If an external display is disconnected, Windows usually shoves the fullscreen output back onto your main laptop screen, which ruins your workspace. SlideGo intercepts this hardware change instantly, shutting down the live output to keep your dashboard clean, and prompts you to reconnect safely.
